Outfit #13: August 30, 2011

Shirt: The Gap
Shorts: Old Navy
Flats: Lester’s NYC
Happy First Day of Classes! Today was the start to my third semester at FIT and this is the outfit I came up with! I wanted to look cute and casual for the day since I had a meeting in between classes and got a chance to stop at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf!
The shirt is a simple, white tee from The Gap and the shorts are mid-rise and aren’t too bad for Old Navy. However, they aren’t made very well and will probably only last me till Fall. The silver flats are from Lester’s NYC, a New York-based retail store that sells contemporary merchandise such as J Brand jeans and Splendid tops. These flats are their own brand and were only $10.
I hope everyone at FIT had a great start to their semester today!

Shirt: Old Navy
Shorts: Abercrombie & Fitch
Shoes: Sketchers
Bracelet: Juicy Couture
I can’t believe it’s been a very long time since I’ve done an outfit post! On June 1st, I did a look that was based on this one. However, I thought I’d post the actual outfit now that I have time and a new camera!
The shirt is my favorite, cheap white tee that I have been wearing to death all year long. It’s comfy and can be dressed up or down.
The shorts I’m wearing are a few years old, actually. They’re very light and stretchy. This is one thing I’ve always liked about Abercrombie & Fitch jeans and shorts: they’re of good quality and comfort.
The shoes are not Toms as most of you may have thought. Sketchers makes a line called Cali, which features shoes that look exactly like Toms shoes.
The bracelet wrapped around my wrist is from Juicy Couture. I purchased it for about $20 at one of their shops. It’s very fun to wear however, it tends to get caught on my clothing so I have to be careful.
I didn’t mention my ring because it’s just a little, cheap thing I got at one of NYC’s many flea markets.

Shirt: Fashion Design Club t-shirt made by American Apparel for FIT
Jeans: Bullhead exclusively for PacSun
Shoes: Old Navy
On Saturday, FIT had their huge block party. The Fashion Design Club was giving out t-shirts for us to tie dye and this is how mine came out! The shirts are made by American Apparel so I know that it should last me for a while.
The jeans I’m wearing are ones I’ve had for a while. I did work at Pac Sun when I was 16 and we used to get the best deal on jeans. However, I can’t remember if I bought these when I worked there or not. I still remember when their brand of denim was called Tilt! Bullhead denim is great and their jeans are so durable and comfy. The silhouette is the Super Skinny.
To top off my outfit, I put on some good ol’ Old Navy flip flops. I buy a pair of these every summer since they’re so cheap. I bought these last summer but never wore them so I finally did since it’s so beautiful out today!
