FleurDeForce Tutorial = Success!
One of my favorite YouTubers that I’ve been watching lately is FleurDeForce. A few days ago, she posted a simple, 1950’s inspired makeup tutorial using the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette. As a huge fan and user of this product, I decided to give the video a try and this is was the result:

I did the eyes exactly as Fleur shows. However, I did make a few changes. The eyeliner Fleur uses is a liquid marker but since I’m allergic to liquid liner, I used Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide On Pencil in Zero and Maybelline’s Great Lash Mascara in Blackest Black. She also uses much more face makeup and lipstick than I did. For my face, I used CoverGirl Clean foundation in Classic Ivory 210. For the lips, I used my Clinique Chubby Stick in Mega Melon.
Here’s the tutorial:
Product Review: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil
Want an eyeliner that literally glides onto your eyelid and stays all day? Well then, this is the product choice for you.
A few weeks back, Sephora was giving out samples of the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil to its customers who are members of their rewards program. Being one of the many as well as making a purchase at the right time, I was able to get my hands on this baby!
I must admit, I was a little skeptical at first to use this eyeliner because a friend of mine told me she didn’t like this product because it smudged too easily. I was going to listen to her because not only is she practically a beauty expert but she interns for Beauty High.
Going against her opinion, I decided to try the eyeliner. I did and was amazed by how well it works. Sorry, girl, but I love this stuff! I hardly had to apply any pressure to the pencil unlike most liners which shocked me. The makeup goes on very smoothly, is dark and matte and stays on for most of the day (but this may also be because I use the Urban Decay Primer Potion).
However, this eyeliner can smudge, so my friend was right about that. I was wearing it one day and noticed that it did crease a little bit, even though I had put primer potion in the crease of my eyelid. Be careful that this doesn’t happen since most eyeliners in general do that.
Overall, I’d shell out $19.00 for this once I run out. I actually like it better than the MAC pencils I’ve used in the past. This one also sharpens pretty well which is a huge plus.
The Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil can be found at Sephora.com and other retailers who sell Urban Decay products.

Product Review: Urban Decay’s Naked 2
It seems that not long ago, Urban Decay debuted their Naked palette, which sold out of stores as soon as it hit the shelves. After seeing many pictures on Tumblr and searching every Sephora I went to, I finally found the sequel to the eye shadow palette I use every day.
Naked 2 is the new eye shadow collection to debut from Urban Decay. Unlike the release of Naked, Naked 2 hasn’t exactly sold out (thank goodness!) As soon as I laid eyes on it over the weekend at my local Sephora, I had to get it.
Naked 2 is very similar to Naked, and even has some of the same eye shadows in it. The difference with this one is that there are more neutrals instead of shades of pink and brown in this collection. For example, as I’m writing this, I’m wearing two shadows, both of different shades of gray.
With the first Naked palette came Urban Decay’s famous and best-selling eye shadow primer called Primer Potion (which is by far the best eye product I’ve ever used) and a shadow brush. With Naked 2, you’ll get a double-ended brush (one side is for applying shadow to your lid, the other for your crease) and a limp plumping lip gloss.
This is my second day wearing the palette and I’m very satisfied with it. Not only are the colors a nice change from Naked, but the brush works incredibly well and so does the lip gloss.
Naked 2 retails for $50 at Sephora and can be purchased in stores.

Product Review: Naked Palette by Urban Decay

As I promised on Twitter, I’m finally doing a product review for this palette! This is the limited edition Naked palette by Urban Decay in honor of their 15th birthday. For $48, you get 12 neutral shadows, a shadow brush and a small size of Urban Decay’s incredible Primer Potion.
All of the shadows are great to mix and match and stay on all day thanks to the primer. The brush works really well and is a nice addition to the product. The colors are easy to mix and match and have a really nice sparkle to them (Demi Lovato, you should really try this since you love glitter!).
$48 seems like a lot, but if you’re really into eye makeup, like myself, this is very worth it. Also, if you think about, the price of this product isn’t bad for Urban Decay. The palette is available on the Urban Decay website as well as Sephora and Ulta.
