Product Review: Dove Nourishing Oil Shampoo and Conditioner

I am OBSESSED with these two products I recently bought. I have always been told that it’s good to change up your shampoo and conditioner, hence why I never buy the same ones twice.

This time, I was switching from my almost-empty bottles of Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine (which works wonders on curly hair) to Dove Nourishing Oil Shampoo and Conditioner. I’ve always been a fan of Dove products, specifically their mousse for curly hair. If you have skin problems, specifically eczema, Dove is the brand to go with.

During my trip in Israel, my hair became so dry from the weather that not even my Fekkai conditioner nor Ouidad shampoo could restore the moisture it had lost. When I came back to the States, I noticed that the Sleek and Shine wasn’t doing the trick either and was actually making my roots greasy while keeping my ends dry to the strand.

So, after a trip to CVS and a shower later, my hair felt incredible. I used both the shampoo and conditioner in one washing and my hair was so soft and smooth. The bottle says it helps with frizz, which is usually a lie, but this wasn’t. I even straightened my hair when it was dry and my hair was still sleek and smooth.

Go buy this shampoo and conditioner if you have curly hair problems like myself.
