Biography
I started my blog in 2008 as a theatrically inclined fashion student who decided to write about everything in fashion and entertainment. Musical theatre runs in my blood; my dad was almost on Broadway, my mother is a SAG actress and my grandfather was in the garment business for most of his life. Get the point?
My parents exposed me to theater at the age of nine, but I didn’t fall in love with the profession until I was in high school. For four years, I performed in high school musicals and my school choir along with achieving top honors in NYSSMA solo scores.
However, since the age of twelve, fashion seemed like a better option for me. After realizing that I would never be a designer, I decided to pursue merchandising by taking pre-college courses at FIT. The dream of attending such a prestigious institution came true in February of 2010 when I received the big CONGRATULATIONS envelope the college sends to those accepted.
Currently, I am a third year Fashion Merchandising student as well as a Student Ambassador and Tour Guide. Last year, I completed my first internship at StyleCaster was an Editorial Junior Team Member where I became a published writer on the site. The experience opened more opportunities at school where I am now going into my second year as the Web Relations Manager of the school’s student-run boutique, The Style Shop.
